REDONDO BEACH, Calif. – February 24, 2026 – GungHo Online Entertainment America (GOEA) has announced that pre-orders for Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter’s Golden Wings Edition, the game’s Collector’s Edition, are now available ahead of the game’s Fall 2026 launch.

To celebrate the remake, the commemorative Golden Wings Edition includes items created exclusively for this limited release in partnership with TAKEOFF Creative.

The Golden Wings Edition ($274.99, $279.99 for Nintendo Switch 2™ Edition) includes:

Pre-orders for the Golden Wings Edition are available now through March 8 at store.panaxgames.com, Powered by PM Studios™.

The standard edition (physical and digital) will be available for pre-order at a later date for $59.99 on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation® 5, and Steam®, and $64.99 for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 Edition. Players who purchase the Nintendo Switch™ version of the game can also upgrade to the Nintendo Switch™ 2 Edition by purchasing a $4.99 Upgrade Pack. The Season Pass will be available for purchase separately on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation® 5, and Steam®, granting access to a variety of cosmetic DLC, with pricing to be announced at a later date. A Digital Deluxe edition including the Season Pass will also be available at a later date.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter received strong praise from both critics and fans, earning average review scores of 88 (PS5®), 89 (PC), and 90 (Nintendo Switch™ 2) on Metacritic, as well as an “Overwhelmingly Positive” user rating on Steam®. Building on that reception, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter delivers a full remake of the fan-favorite The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC. Renowned for its deeply emotional storytelling and unforgettable, heart-wrenching moments, this beloved story is widely regarded as one of the strongest entries in the series, praised for its character development, rich world-building, and compelling narrative.

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter follows Estelle as she searches for Joshua and confronts the Enforcers of Ouroboros. Though the struggle centers on Liberl Kingdom, its implications touch the wider continent of Zemuria, drawing Estelle into ancient mysteries, political tensions, and the truth behind Joshua’s past. With the fate of the country at stake, Estelle must step up as a young leader, ready to face an enemy whose plans reach far beyond anything she imagined.
